Advanced Wireless, Inc. donates and installs MOTOROLA WLAN equipment at two local schools under Wireless School Initiative!
 
MILWAUKEE, WI – November 6, 2008 - Advanced Wireless, Inc. (AWI) headquartered in Milwaukee, WI in partnership with MOTOROLA, has donated and installed two (2) MOTOROLA 802.11 a/b/g wireless local area networks (WLAN) to local schools.  This includes San Juan Diego Middle School in Racine, Wisconsin and Morgandale School in the MPS school district in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  To date under AWI’s Wireless School Initiative, industry leading WLAN equipment, installation and support services have been provided to five (5) schools throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Morin, AWI President and CEO stated, “We are proud to have partnered with MOTOROLA on this initiative.  This collaboration has allowed us to provide the same world class, centrally managed WLAN technology used to drive the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, to our students here in Southeastern Wisconsin.” 

The Wireless School Initiative provides students and educators access to online curriculum which otherwise would not have been possible.  It enables schools to implement mobile computing labs.  A mobile computing lab consists of multiple wireless laptops that can be carted from classroom to classroom based on need, allowing all children in the class to actively participate in online curriculum.
